Why choose an Electric Vehicle EV?
Should I go EV (Electric Vehicle)?
Opting for an EV when you’ve been used to driving an I.C.E (internal combustion engine) can take some getting used to.
We get asked a lot about the transition and implications such as:
Do I need to download charging app’ on my phone?
The charging network in East Anglia & in particular the greater Peterborough area is expanding thanks to Petrol stations & companies installing chargers at places such as garden & shopping centres, as well some ‘open to the public’ chargers (Map of electric charging points for electric cars UK: Zapmap) or Chargefinder.com
Do I need to download charging app’ on my phone?
Most charging companies will require you to download an App of some form in order to gain access to there systems & allow for payments to be taken, it’s always worth checking though as some charging station may take payments from your bank card without the need to download any other apps.
How much does it cost?
Depending on the tariff available this will vary on who supplies the electric – some utility providers offer special rates for EV drivers from as little as 7p per KW but if you choose to opt for an inner city or town rapid EV charger they can sometimes charge up to 69p per KW.
Are they reliable?
EV’s are very reliable, with fewer components to service than a conventional I.C.E vehicle service bills tend to be cheaper, our maintenance packages available on leases ensure your vehicle stays on the road.
